AMLSN pays a courtesy visit to the Chairman of Bayelsa State Civil Service Commission
The leadership of AMLSN Bayelsa State Branch in continuation of their advocacy and engagement with critical stakeholders in the State today paid a courtesy visit to the office of Chairman of the Bayelsa State Civil Service Commission.
The leadership comprising of the Chairman of the Branch, MLS. Seleipre Hannah Richard; Vice-Chairman Dr. Igri Ofor; Secretary MLS. Loveday Zebedee; Assistant Secretary MLS. Eunice Lelei and Director Osakwe Ebiye were warmly received by the Chairman of the Bayelsa State Civil Service Commission at his office.
Speaking, MLS. Seleipre Hannah Richard hammered on the need for the domestication of Enhanced Entry Point in the state, even as she advocated for the employment of more Medical Laboratory Scientists to fill up the huge deficit in the state-owned facilities. She also made a case for the purging out of quacks from the state workforce to give room for the engagement of qualified professionals.
On his part, the Chairman of the Bayelsa State Civil Service Commission Dr. Peter Singabele spoke on the importance of teamwork, adding that as a health practitioner himself he holds in high esteem the overall best interest of other health practitioners.
He promised to look into the issues tabled before him and requested the leadership of the Branch to send in writing the challenges bedeviling the Association in a detailed summary
Dr. Singabele also advised the leadership to engage relevant stakeholders at the Ministry and Board alike on the matters raised too.
The high point of the visit was the photo session with the Chairman of the Commission and the visiting team.
